My Son the Artist

My youngest son Tom stayed with me for a week...

He was been painting vases (look in the background) to try to sell at the farmers market as he's out of work at the moment.

He also painted a sea turtle for my daughter in law since she loves them so much...

"artist at work"...

Actually this is the second turtle painting he's done..

This is the first one completed...

and here is yet another turtle he painted.. boo decided to check out his work.

...and here are some vases he's painted..

Very nice work! I'll bet he could sell them at a flea market or something easy. Maybe he could find someone there who is already selling and sell the stuff to them? Then he wouldn't need a booth...

Wow his stuff is incredible!! Creativity just flows in y'alls blood! I love the sea turtle paintings. I can't fathom that kind of talent, lol.

Oooh, those are gorgeous! He's a wonderfully talented artist. And, as Chris already said, your family just has creativity in its veins. It's awesome!

Your son is a very good artist. I hope he can sell some of his pieces. Art is funny as to what people will buy and what doesn't sell. With the economy being like it is, people are reluctant to buy something they don't consider a necessity. Does he paint with acrylics or oil? And you do have a talented family.
You got the weather down there a day after we got hit up here. Ocala got 3" of rain. Don't think we got quite that much but it did rain all day Thursday and until early afternoon on Friday. Glad the water stopped before reaching your door! Sher

thanks kelly!

JJ: he is going to try to sell some at a farmers market when he has enough to set up..

Chris : thanks... just wish he had a good outlet..but then so do most artistic people!

thanks Shana.. tis true my brother was a very good artist before his stroke.. but he never really made much money at it either.

hi Sher: Yeah two days of it was more than enough!
My son paints in all mediums but what you are looking at is acrylics.

cath: yeah i like the turtle too.. not bad..

Kathleen: I just hope he can get into the farmers market. They make you join things first and each cost money and needless to say right now he's jobless and moneyless!

Well I hope he will get in and for not very much money. I hate that it takes money to make money but that always seems to be the way, doesn't it?
