Kathleen: Indded it would!

Cath: (in my mind I am singing like Frank Sinatra).. "...come fly with me, come fly, come fly away..."

I've often wished I could have a Pernese fire lizard, but I'm not so sure it would work in our times. I'd be okay if I could just have some limited mental communication with the cats.

As for Pern, I wonder what craft I would wind up in there? In this life I ended up - quite unintentionally, it seems - as a social worker and then manager and administrator in that field. But I have an MA in fine art. Where does that put me in guilds and crafts on Pern? Naturally I'd have liked to be a dragonrider, or at least live in a weir...

Richard! your wife not might appreciate living her life in a Weir! lol.. by far it would be more interesting to live at a weir then to be a holder no matter what the craft!
I don't even like heights but i have to admit I'd give it a go to be on a dragon!! But I'll take a white one like Ruth! size matters not for a dragon!
really nice to meet a man who read the Pern books!! Truth is as popular as those books were I find very few who say they've read them and liked them! I thought her world building was exceptional! and of course the fire dragons and dragons make it very appealing even with thread ! The people of that world were hard working, crafty, and very creative! I've read the books many times and will again i am sure!
