Still reading the chunkster book The Sisters so no book to report yet. Meanwhile: I did finish another afghan:
And my morning walk had wonderful moonlight to walk in: really clear and bright!
Yesterday I snapped a photo of the air plant in the Oak Tree..
…and then by the pond I spotted a Dove…. there are lots of them around here but I never seem to find where any of them nest.

BEAUTIFUL, BEAUTIFUL....! I cannot get over the Moon Picture...! And that AFGHAN is Lovely! Love The Dove, too....!
Your new afghan is gorgeous. And you know I envy your ability to get shots of the moon like that. The plant growing on the tree? I think we had one like that as indoor plant once. Is it called a Bromeliad? Something like that. I've never seen one growing where it belongs though. Wonderful colours.
lol thank you Naomi lol..I take way too many pictures of the moon! Whenever I walk out and it's big and bright I can't help taking a picture...but they all look alike! lol
Cath? read other comment about the moon lol.. yes those plants are in the Bromelaid family.. they grow wild on the trees here..but then again most of the good plants do all grow wild somewhere! which seems impossible for many plants! lol...
Holy cow, lady, but you've been crocheting up a storm! Your afghan is very lovely! And so is all of your photography! I envy your talent!!! (Even though envy is one of emotions I'm "supposed" to avoid, right? :P )
hey Debi...nah "envy" is ok.. "jealousy" is not! but you do just as well in all your crafing and photography! so hush woman lol
OMG!! that afghan is just AMAZING Pat!!!!!! I never ceased to be amazed by your work!! You have so much talent! It's just beautiful :) And so is that moon shot! I love that air plant so much too :)
We have a couple of doves that like to come and sit in my garden. It's really cute, but they drive me nuts too because they'll scratch around in there and dig up seedlings and sometimes just sit right on top of plants!
Is that air plant as large as it looks? Wow! My daughter had a few small ones and they are really cool. I need to snag a few myself.
Love the new afghan. Very beautiful. There is something so crisp and clean about white, isn't there?
carl: yes, the plant is pretty big..it's neat to see them but I think that all the plants and things that seem to appear on the live oaks down here drain them of some of their life... the spanish moss doesn't help either... it's part of how the southern states "appear" though.
Oh I'm sure that is the case. Spanish moss especially. It reminds me of the beautiful vines that you see growing on houses that are actually eating into and destroying the homes.
What a lovely afghan. I wish I had something as lovely to show for the times when I haven't finished a book yet!
